Progress of free vascularized omental lymph node transplantation in the treatment of lymphedema of extremities

Abstract:

In recent years, with the increase number of patients with limb lymphedema and the development of super
microsurgery, the treatment level of limb lymphedema is also improving. The donor site selection of transplanted lymph nodes
is also being optimized. Body surface lymph nodes such as groin lymph nodes, axillary lymph nodes, submandibular lymph
nodes and other donor areas have been widely used in the treatment of limb lymphedema. In this paper, the current status of free
vascularized omental lymph node transplantation in the treatment of limb lymphedema with omental lymph nodes as donor area
was reviewed.
