Abstract:

Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP), one of the most common skin sarcomas, lacks specific clinical
and radiological features and exhibits complex histopathology. It is characterized by slow and irregular infiltration of
surrounding tissues, and surgical resection is the primary treatment modality. Currently, DFSP presents clinical challenges in
terms of high misdiagnosis and recurrence rates, necessitating the development of specific diagnostic markers and effective
therapeutic targets. This article aimed to provide a comprehensive review of the latest molecular genetics advancements in
DFSP, with the goal of offering new insights for its diagnosis and treatment.
