Abstract

Objective To observe the effects of long-term culture in vitro on the osteogenic differentiation potential of human umbilical cord blood derived mesenchymal stem cells (UCB-MSCs). Methods The CD markers of UCB-MSCs were identified by flow cytometric analysis. Osteogenic differentiation of UCB -MSCs at different passages was evaluated by Alizarin Red staining, and measurement of alkaline phosphatase activity, osteocalcin content, and calcium content respectively.
