Abstract:When using relevant parameters for polarimetric synthetic aperture radar (SAR) targets detection, it is difficult to remove the strong reflectors such as ground clutter and buildings. To solve this problem, Span is introduced to describe the backscatter power of the target. First, extract the polarization feature parameters, then use the correlation coefficient classifier to generate potential targets, and finally use Span for distance discrimination. The experiment results show that this method can effectively eliminate the above mentioned interference and achieve the vehicle targets detection task in complex ground environment. In addition, by comprehensively comparing the application of correlation coefficients in the SAR targets detection, it is found that the similarity parameter is more effective than other polarimetric SAR feature parameters.
