Abstract The optimization objective of the subsystem is not included in subsystem-level optimization model of traditional collaborative optimization (CO) method. The shortcoming leads to that the subsystem is not necessarily optimal, and the optimal results cannot be obtained usually using the traditional CO. The optimization objective of the subsystem is added to subsystem optimization model, in which the original optimization objective is only that the shared variables are closest to the target values proposed by the system level. A collaborative optimization method with subsystem optimization is proposed. The effectiveness of the method is verified by the system design of the satellite.
