Abstract To achieve direct correlation between capability assessment and operational results, the paper puts forward and establishes mission space model of early-warning system of terminal anti-missile by applying the principle of periphery theory. The problem that direct correlation between mission space and operational results can't be established is solved by resolving the factors of covering degree, monitoring degree and protection degree of mission space and constructing comprehensive evaluation index. In order to verify the realizability of this method, the paper conceives that an important area has been attacked by a large scale missile and the terminal anti-missile operation is actively organized as the background. Then the application of operation capability analysis of early-warning system of terminal anti-missile operation mission space based on periphery theory is explored in the paper.
