Abstract This paper elaborates the development, test progress and deployment of Aegis antimissile SM-3 in recent years, analyzes the development history of Block IA, Block IB and Block IIA, and compares the evolution and performance of these interceptors. The paper emphasizes the latest development of flight/interception tests and summarizes the current deployment and equipment plan.
