Abstract: It will be more and more important for design of subsea production system that internal flow induced vibration. Research on mechanisms of flow induced vibration in piping systems and general FIV sources. The screening approach used for subsea is based on the Guidelines for the avoidance of vibration induced fatigue failure in process pipework (AVIFF). The flow induced vibration analysis mainly research on calculation of likelihood of failure (LOF). The standard assessment flowchart for flow induced vibration. Flow induced pulsations and vibrations can cause serious design and production problems, especially in subsea gas production systems. The paper research on flow induced vibration of M type jumper in a gas field of South China Sea. The analysis method of flow induced vibration is described. Researching on flow induced vibration on the LOF in different flow velocities. The well jumpers vibration modes and frequency of the pipe system be used the finite element method to analyze. At last, the document shows that how can to develop FIV technology in future.
