Abstract: The selection method for wall thickness and material of free standing hybrid riser (FSHR) is introduced from the aspects of design procedure, design load, design case and so on. Especially, the calculation principle is summarized according to the design code. The structure and description for FSHR are also described. An example of FSHR wall thickness selection is shown to give a further explanation.
