Abstract:

In recent years, the development of ozone desulfurization and denitrification technology has been the focus of the ship industry. Based on the principle of ozone desulfurization and denitrification technology, this paper analyzes the advantages and challenges of the application of this technology on seagoing vessels in combination with the actual situation, and puts forward suggestions on safety protection. The analysis results show that compared with the technical solution of SCR+EGC, the ozone desulfurization and denitration technology has the advantages of integrated desulfurization and denitrification, more flexible equipment layout and low dependence on diesel engine operation data. However, there are problems such as large power consumption, low ozone production, and risk of washing water discharge. It is calculated that the power of the ozone desulfurization and denitration system accounts for 6.97%~15.58% of the power of the matched diesel engine. The maximum power of a single diesel generator that can be adapted is 8.49~16.4MW, and it is difficult to arrange multiple devices in parallel due to the limitation of equipment volume. Washing wastewater has a high nitrate content and it is difficult to meet existing emission standards. For safety, it is recommended that the ozone equipment be arranged in a separate room with independent ventilation. The equipment in the hazardous area is made of special anticorrosion materials, equipped with O2, O3concentration and temperature detection systems and fireproof and explosionproof equipment.
