This paper introduces the difficulty of on-bottom stability protection for huge-diameter subsea pipeline in extreme shallow water depth. The design method of on-bottom stability is introduced, and the design method feasibility of on-bottom stability protection for huge-diameter subsea pipeline in extreme shallow water depth is compared. Based on the theoretical analysis, a integrated method of on-bottom stability protection is provided. The difficulty of on-bottom stability protection design in extreme shallow water depth is solved successfully.
