跨境电商网络平台中的语言服务研究

Language Service in Web Platforms of Cross-border Electronic Commerce

摘要: 跨境电商的网络平台是语言服务实践的重要场所。其语言服务的分析方法是实地考察典型的跨境电商网络平台及语言服务合作对象,重点是分析其语言服务的建设模式和服务模式。跨境电商网络平台语言服务的基本建设模式主要分四种:自建、卖家共建、本土化共建、语言服务提供商(LSP)共建。跨境电商网络平台语言服务的服务模式由人、信息、工具技术三种因素驱动,具体模式有人工翻译、众包翻译、电商语言服务培训、纯机器翻译、机器翻译的译后编辑等。跨境电商网络平台语言服务的主要问题在于翻译数据的处理容量,其余问题多见于翻译、本地化和共建者三个环节。其中的一些典型问题已可总结出一些尝试性的解决方案。

Abstract: The web platforms of Cross-border Electronic Commerce (CBEC) are important sites for language service implementation. The analysis of its language service is done by observing typical web platforms of CBECs and their language service partners to analyze the language service therein, mostly from its construction mode and service mode. There are four kinds of basic construction modes: self-building, co-building with sellers, with domestic people and with language service providers (LSP). Driven by forces of people, information and technology/tools, the service modes include human translation, crowdsourcing translation, CBEC language service training, machine translation, and post-editing of machine translation. The major problem in the language service of CBEC web platforms lies in their throughput ability of translation data. Other problems are most seen in translation, localization and among co-builders. For now, some tentative solutions can already be given to some of these problems.
