Abstract:

Multiple myeloma (MM) is a malignancy of plasma cells, and its peripheral neuropathy is one of the common complications. As Western medicine treatment shows limited efficacy, diagnosis and treatment of MM peripheral neuropathy with traditional Chinese medicine affords another option. Chinese medicine can relief patients’ symptoms and improve their quality of life through syndrome differentiation and comprehensive conditioning. This paper systematically analyzed the understanding and dialectical classification of MM peripheral neuropathy (MMPN) in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). It also reviewed the commonly used Chinese medicine prescriptions, herbal fumigation and acupuncture to provide useful clinical guidance to treat disease.
