Abstract

Abstract: Objective To study posttraumatic regeneration of the facial nerve in rabbits.Functional and histological analysis were compared with normal nerves on opposite sides to finding the suitable opportunity to treat the peripheral facial paralysis on clinic.Methods The left facial nerve trunks of 15 rabbits were selected to compression lesion and the right sides of them serve as the control groups.The rabbits were killed at 2,4 and 6 weeks after the operation,respectively.The obtained specimens were observed macr...
