Abstract: Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of surgical correction for inverted nipple. Methods The clinical data of 26 cases with nipple rectification were retrospectively analyzed. Fifteen cases were treated with self-made fixator traction method, and others were treated with tissue flap method. The clinical efficacy of the two groups were observed, and the postoperative nipple retraction rate was compared between the two groups. Results No incision infection and nipple areola ischemic necrosis were observed. Good appearance and normal nipple feeling were achieved. All patients were followed up for 6 months, only one case showed a mild retraction of nipple, while the rest was not significantly altered. There was no significant difference of postoperative nipple retraction between the two operation methods (P>0.05). Conclusion The clinical effect of surgical correction for inverted nipple is satisfactory, and there is no significant difference of clinical effect between the two types of surgical methods.
