Abstract: Abdominal wall defects are common diseases in the clinic. Common causes include abdominal wall trauma, intra-abdominal surgery and abdominal wall tumor resection. It is necessary to repair or reconstruct the abdominal wall structure and function by surgical repair or reconstruction. Reconstruction of abdominal wall defects is an important part of plastic surgery. The emergence of new materials combined with innovative surgical methods provide more options for the treatment of abdominal wall defects. In this paper, the reconstruction methods of large-scale abdominal wall defects were reviewed.
