Application of Nasolabial Flap in the Treatment of Large Nasal Skin Mass

Abstract: Objective To explore the application of nasolabial flap in the repair of skin defect after the removal of large nasal mass. Methods From October 2015 to January 2019, twenty-two patients with large nasal skin mass were treated with nasolabial flap for wound repair after tumor resection. The repair efficacy, incision scar and postoperative morphology of nasal alar were retrospectively analyzed. Results All the nasal lesions were completely excised and no recurrence was observed.The appearance of the skin flap was satisfactory after repair, and the scar at cutting edge and donor area was not obvious.Good appearance of nasal alar was observed. Conclusion The nasolabial flap is a good method to repair the defect of the larger nasal skin mass after excision. According to the size and location of the lesion, different methods of flap transfer can be used.
