Abstract: Objective To analyze the effect of action research on improving the health education ability of nurses in department of plastic and reconstructive surgery.Methods From February 2017 to February 2018,56 nurses in department of plastic and reconstructive surgery were selected.According to the convenient sampling method,all nurses were divided into 2 groups:the experimental group(n=28)and the control group(n=28).The regular education method was used in control group,while action research educational method was added in experimental group.Results There was no difference of health education ability between the two groups before the intervention(P>0.05).After the intervention,the health education ability score,nursing ability score,nursing efficiency and communication skills of the experimental group were all higher than that of the control group with statistical differences(P<0.05).Conclusion By incorporating the action research into the nursing education of plastic and reconstructive surgery,nurses'health education ability score and nursing ability score are greatly improved,nursing efficiency is higher,communication skills are significantly improved,and it should be vigorously introduced.
