Abstract:

Objective To investigate the state of anxiety and depression in patients with extracranial arteriovenous
malformation (extracranial AVM) and analyze the influencing factors. Methods From November 2020 to September 2021,
129 patients with extracranial AVM were selected to evaluate the anxiety and depression with Self-rating anxiety scale (SAS)
and Self-rating depression scale (SDS), and the influencing factors were analyzed. Results The SAS score and SDS score
of 129 patients with extracranial AVM were 41.07±7.41 and 41.44±10.43. Education level, family relationship and sleep
were important factors affecting anxiety and depression in patients with extracranial AVM (P=0.042 3, P=0.016 3, P=0.049 7).
Conclusion Patients with extracranial AVM have higher scores of anxiety and depression, and there are many influencing
factors. Active measures should be taken to improve the status of anxiety and depression.
