Abstract: Objective To investigate the clinical application of autologous fat granules injection for nasolabial groove depression. Methods From November 2011 to December 2014, 91 cases with nasolabial groove depression were treated by autologous fat granules injection. The fat granule was harvested by liposuction from waist abdomen or lateral thigh under intravenous anesthesia and local infiltration anesthesia. After purified, the fat was injected into the nasolabial groove by multiple-layers, multiple-tunnels, multiple-points and low-amounts technique. Results After followed up for 6 to 36 months, 56 cases achieved the expected effect by injecting once and 35 cases achieved satisfactory results after reoperation. The amount of autologous fat for each side was 1.2 ml to 4.6 ml. No severe complication was observed. Conclusion Autologous fat granules injection for nasolabial groove depression is effective with few complication, and is worthy of clinical application.
