Abstract To predict the airtightness performance of O-ring, the leak rates of O-ring seal structures (at 30% compression ratio) were calculated based on finite element method and seal structure prediction mathematical model. The leak rates of each seal surface of launch tube were equal to the testing leak results, which shows that this method can be used for design of launch tube’s seal structures.
