Directional Coring Technology and Practice of Un-Cemented and Unconsolidated Formation in High Inclination Well

摘要: 受南海东部番禺油田韩江组地质特点影响,常规取心工具直井取心时,因岩心极易冲蚀致使取心收获率大多在30%~50%之间。在该地层大井斜井段进行定向取心时,钻具难以居中、摩阻扭矩较大、钻具稳定性差更加大了取心难度。结合松散地层的地质特点,分析了影响松散地层取心收获率的因素,通过优选取心工具、优化钻具组合、选择目标取心层段上部泥岩盖层作为树心地层、调整钻井参数、完善技术措施等,首次成功完成了该油田大井斜松散储层段定向取心作业,取心收获率78.7%,远超相关行业标准规定的取心收获率≥50%的指标,实现了地质勘探目的。

Abstract: Hanjiang reservoir formation is shallowly buried with un-cemented and unconsolidated oil sands in oilfield located at the east of the South China Sea. The coring recovery in this formation is only 30%~50% with conventional tools due to the serious washout during operation. Loss of centering and stability, together with high torque of the drill pipe in high inclination directional well will exacerbate the coring difficulties. We analyze the factors affecting the coring recovery in un-cemented and unconsolidated oil sands. Through selecting the coring tools, optimizing the drilling tools combination, starting from the mudstone caprock above oil sand, adjusting the drilling parameters and improving technical measures, coring operation is achieved with high recovery of 78.7% which exceeds the coring recovery of 50% stipulated in industry standard of China.
