Abstract:Settlement will happen in the field-assembly period on liquefied natural gas (LNG) steel modules as they are very heavy. The settlement will influence the installation accuracy of equipment and pipelines. Based on the periodic monitoring on the settlement of the modules which are fabricated on different foundations, the final settlement amount and the feature are found from numerical analysis. In consideration of their different performance, proposals are provided to deal with the settlement to ensure the elevation accuracy of pipelines and instruments installed on them.
