Research on Key Technologies of Dynamic Analysis and Numerical Simulation for the Floating Offshore Wind Turbine

Abstract: With the development of floating offshore wind turbine technology, engineering projects of large scale floating offshore wind turbine has begun to emerge. Because manufacturers keep the parameters of wind turbine confidential, there are many challenges in numerical simulation analysis of floating offshore wind turbines in practical engineering projects. In this paper, the key technologies on numerical simulation of floating wind turbine in the practical engineering project was studied. Through the equivalent thrust model, a numerical model of real floating wind turbine was established and the dynamics responses under a typical load case was analyzed. Based on the research results of this study, the difficulties in establishing the numerical model of floating wind turbine in practical engineering projects can be well solved. This is of great significance to promote the technical development and accelerate the commercialization of China's floating wind turbine industry.
