Abstract: This paper mainly introduces the ignition control theory of hot medium boiler of an offshore floating production  storage offloading (FPSO)， as well as some problems that may cause boiler ignition failure in daily maintenance and operation， and makes corresponding solutions according to the problems encountered. This paper introduces the related transformation of boiler on ignition problems and puts forward some equipment maintenance plans and improvement measures in view of the easy problems.
