Research on Teacher's Learning Based on Curriculum Resources Development for Follow-up Courses of College English

Abstract: The present research, by case analysis, mainly studies the influence of curriculum resources development in the circumstances of College English Follow-up Courses on teacher's learning, the characteristics of the learning and its influence on teachers' professional development. The study shows that resources development provides motivation and direction for teacher's learning. The learning has increased teachers' multiple types of knowledge, and it has enabled the formation of teacher's professional learning community. Teacher's leaning in this process has four characteristics: (1) problem-driven; (2) practically reflective; (3) interactive in the process and multiple-knowledge increasing. The learning exerts positive influence on teachers' teaching practices as well as providing direction for teachers' academic research, and finally contributes to teachers' professional development.
