Abstract: Objective To investigate the effects of orbital periosteum fixation in the treatment of upper eyelid laxity.Methods According to the traditional method,the surgical incision below the eyebrow was chosen then some sagging skin was removed.In addition.orbital periosteum fixation was added into the procedure in order to maintain the clinical effect in the treatment of upper eyelid laxity.One hundred and eight patients were performed this operation between 2000 and 2005.Results All patients were followed up for 1-5 years and were satisfactory with the results.Conclusion Orbital periosteum fixation is easy to operate.The traditional method plus orbital periosteum fixation can achieve long-term effect.
