Abstract: Mesenchymal stem cell(MSC) has broad prospects in the field of regenerative medicine and tissue engineering due to its highly self-renewal and multi-lineage differentiation ability.Although there are many researches about MSC osteogenic differentiation, its osteogenic efficiency is still very low both in vitro and in vivo. Therefore, how to improve the MSC osteogenic performance has become the focus of researchers.MSC osteogenic performance is influenced by many factors. In this review, the influence factors are discussed from four aspects: cell sources, approaches of isolation and purification, induction strategies and vascularization.
