Clinical Application of Picosecond Laser: A Review of the Literature

Abstract: Picosecond laser is known for its extremely short pulse width, through photomechanical and photothermal effects, which could be highly efficient on pigment particles. Currently, picosecond laser is mainly used in tattoo removal, and also effective for pigmented lesions treatment and facial rejuvenation. But the research of these two fields is lack, and the evidence is not strong enough. More studies are needed to prove its efficacy.
