Abstract:

Objective To explore the efficacy and safety of a single high-energy treatment with the novel unipolar focused
radiofrequency device for skin type nasolabial folds. Methods A retrospective analysis was performed on 30 patients (26-
57 years old) diagnosed with skin type nasolabial folds from August to December 2021. The patients were given a single high
energy treatment using the novel unipolar focused radiofrequency device. Photographs were taken before treatment and 3 months
after treatment, the wrinkle severity rating scale (WSRS) was used by two doctors who did not participate in the treatment to
evaluate the therapeutic effect before and 3 months after treatment, and the 5-point satisfaction questionnaire was filled in by
the patients 3 months after treatment. Results WSRS score was significantly decreased 3 months after treatment compared with
before treatment (P<0.05). 93.33% of the patients were satisfied with the therapeutic effect, and no serious adverse reactions
were observed during or after the treatment. Conclusion A single high-energy treatment with the novel unipolar focused
radiofrequency device is safe and effective for the correction of skin type nasolabial folds.
