Abstract:

The incidence of chronic wounds is high and wound healing is difficult, which usually requires comprehensive treatment. Existing studies have found that the application of some probiotics and their metabolites can resist infection, promote wound cell  proliferation, regulate inflammation and thus promote chronic wound healing, which proves the great potential of probiotics in chronic wound healing. In this paper, the current application methods of probiotics in promoting chronic wound healing and their interactions with various tissues and cells were reviewed, providing a new direction for the comprehensive treatment of chronic wounds.
