Random Skin Flap in Repairing Skin Defects in Maxillofacial Region

Abstract: Objective To explore the use of random skin flap in repairing maxillofacial skin defects after tumor resection. Methods From March 2014 to September 2015, 38 cases received tumor resection in maxillofacial region. According to the area of skin defect and specific situation, the appropriate random skin flap was used instantly to repair the defects. Results All the facial flaps survived with no necrosis and complications. The patients were followed up for 6-24 months, good appearance and function were both achieved. Conclusion Random skin flap is effective in repairing the maxillofacial skin defects after tumor resection with simple and flexible operation, which is worthy of clinical promotion.
