Abstract: Objective To explore the effects of local skin flap in combination with thread embedding in the repair of cleft lip with nasal basilar deformity.Methods A total of 36 cases were followed up in this study.The results were reviewed extensively,and a corresponding evaluation was made.Results All incisions obtained healing by first intension and the aesthetic appearance was satisfactory during follow-up period of 6 months to 2 years.Conclusion The above mentioned technique could be a reliable way to repair the cleft lip with nasal basilar deformity.
