Abstract: Based on the three-dimensional potential flow theory, we study the motion response characteristics of the system of semi-submersible barge and large upper module of semi-submersible production platform under the wave force by SESAM software. Combined with operation sea state, we predict the short-term response values of the system by using the spectrum analysis method, providing theoretical basis for ensuring the safety and reliability of large upper module during the transportation process.
