Abstract: It becomes normalized to do cross-era, intercultural, interdisciplinary and cross languages researches for disciplinary development and academic studies contemporarily. The traditional Chinese translation aesthetics (TCTA) is mostly based on the scattered aesthetics impressions from translation practice, thus lacking systematicness and theorization. In the absence of systematic theoretical guidelines and support by multi-disciplines and from multi-angles, its related studies are usually limited to the interpretation to certain concepts or empirical arguments. By sorting out the theoretical framework of contemporary Chinese translation aesthetics (CCTA), this paper analyzes translators' aesthetic translating process within CCTA, based on which, studies on translation aesthetics from the perspective of Four-Cross is put forward. Moreover, its research scope and detailed future research perspectives are explored.
