Designed Guiding Courses in Translation & Interpreting in Medicine Based on Qualities of Humanity

Abstract: The article clarifies the courses of Translation & Interpreting in Medicine is a translation practice in students' majors or professional background as well as an effective method to cultivate students' critical ways of thinking and their qualities of humanity in Medicine by the designed course of Translation & Interpreting in Medicine in SUMHS. However, the past Translation & Interpreting courses set for majors focused on students' abilities of language instead of their qualities in humanity especially their ways of critical ways of thinking. Thus, this article proposes that teachers make better use of theories including Education, Semiotics, or Corpus in Translation & Interpreting to have their teaching in translation & interpreting in medicine to improve their ways of critical thinking and their quality in humanity for the students with majors in medicine for the further research. It summarizes that the teachers arrange the translation & interpreting courses in medicine to put importance on the ways of critical thinking & the quality in humanity of the students majoring in medicine to realize the multi-discipline features, pushing forward the talents' team with bilingual background in medicine.
