Abstract: As for the advantages of CAT in translation practice, the academic circles generally ignore its potentials in the translation of humanities books. This article analyzes the translation and publication environment of humanities books, and the “MT + CAT + PE” mode popularly practiced. With the help of the writer's rich translation experiences in humanities books, this paper concludes that CAT can and should be applied to the translation of humanities books, where CAT can give full play of its great advantages in terms of translation efficiency, quality and process management in humanities book translation.
