Abstract: Craniosynostosis is a kind of common congenital craniofacial deformity, which represented the early close of one or more cranial sutures.Several factors can affect the growth of cranial vault during embryonic life and after birth, leading to different types of craniosynostosis. It has been showed that growth factors play crucial roles in cranial suture fusion.Research progress of growth factors in craniosynostosis is reviewed in this paper.
