Abstract: Keloid is a kind of dermatosis with connective tissue hyperplasia.Several etiological factors for keloids have been proposed in the past,including genetic predisposition,tension present in the local skin environment and immunoendocrinology factors.However,the pathogenesis of keloid has not been elucidated,and there is no appropriate treatment to get the satisfactory therapeutic effect.At present,comprehensive treatment based on clinical manifestations is mainly applicated to obtain the best therapeutic effect.In this paper,the progress of clinical therapy and pathogenesis of keloids in recent years were reviewed.
