Investigation of anxiety and depression in patients with hematological tumor

and its correlation with treatment confidence

Abstract:

Objective To investigate the prevalence of anxiety and depression in the blood tumor patients, to analyze
the relationship between treatment confidence and anxiety, depression, providing evidence for further improvement of nursing
measures. Methods Blood tumor patients in Shanghai Ninth hospital were investigated from January to March 2021. The anxiety
and depression scale (HADS) was used to measure anxiety and depression scores, and the treatment confidence of patients was
measured by numerical rating scale (NRS). Results In all, 82 patients completed investigation. The majority of respondents had
confidence in treatment (53/82). Among respondents investigated, 31.7% of them were suspected of anxiety, 12.2% of them were
definitely with anxiety, 11.0% were suspected of depression, 4.9% of them were definitely with depression. There was significant
correlation between treatment confidence and anxiety, depression in patients with hematologic tumors (P<0.01). Conclusion
Anxiety and depression are common in patients with hematological tumor. The occurrence of anxiety and depression is significantly
related to the lack of confidence in treatment. Therefore, corresponding intervention measures are needed
