Recent advances of multiomics approaches for pathologic scars

Abstract:

Pathologic scars, including keloids and hypertrophic scars, not only affect aesthetics but also compromise
patients' daily lives and psychological well-being. Despite recent progress in understanding the pathogenesis of pathologic
scars, effective treatments remain a challenge. In this paper, the research advancements of multi-omics approaches for
pathologic scars were summarized, encompassing genomics, epigenomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, and
single-cell omics. By providing a comprehensive overview of these cutting-edge techniques, the review aimed to inspire novel
therapeutic strategies for the management of pathologic scars.
