The Past and Future of Foreign Language Reading Research:A Visual Study of Literature Based on CNKI and WOS Databases

摘要:

阅读是人类获取信息、传承思想的核心渠道之一,是外语教育与研究的重要内容。本文从研究发展脉络、研究热点、研究内容、研究方法、发表期刊类型等多角度,利用CiteSpace、VOSviwer等,对基于CNKI(1982.1-2021.9)与WOS(2001.1-2021.12)的相关文献进行了文献可视化分析,力图勾勒出阅读研究与外语阅读研究的现状与趋势,呈现国内外外语阅读研究发展在研究规模、研究选题、学术组织、期刊建设上的相似点与不同处,以期为实现外语阅读研究与教学的科学化、本土化、多元化、组织化、跨学科、重服务、强教材等方面提供参考。

Abstract:

Reading plays a significant role in the study and teaching of foreign languages. This paper uses CiteSpace to visually analyze the literature from CNKI (1982.1-2021.9) and WOS (2001.1-2021.12) from a variety of angles, including research issues, development, methods, etc. The goal is to identify the current state of reading research, explore its trends, and examine the similarities and differences between reading research conducted domestically and abroad. It attempts to offer recommendations for implementing scientific, localized, diversified, and organized research and teaching of foreign language reading.
