In the ideological and political education of college English courses, the strengthening of students’ national consciousness and the expansion of their international vision are like two wings of a bird and two wheels of a car. Based on conjugation theory, the conjugated cultivation of national consciousness and international vision in college English curriculum is examined from value implication, theoretical mechanism, and teaching practice. It is believed that national consciousness and international vision that promote and restrict each other are conjugate, with spatiotemporal symbiosis, cultural inclusiveness, and mutual benefit as three important characteristics. Then, the implementation path of "dual fusion and dual integration, unity of knowledge and practice" in the ideological and political education of college English courses is proposed to cultivate students’ national awareness and international vision. By integrating Chinese culture with foreign culture, and fusing knowledge, abilities and values together, we aim to promote the organic integration of national and global characteristics in the curriculum. By integrating in-class teaching with extracurricular activities, and connecting online to offline, we aim to construct a multidimensional context and learning space for ideological and political education. By uniting theoretical class and practical class, we guide practice with knowledge, sublimate knowledge in practice, and cultivate high-quality talents with both national awareness and international perspective through the unity of knowledge and practice.
